Zumbi’s Steam Tailor

I’m just going to keep these steampunk concepts coming. The whole 100 parts or less is most of the fun of it too.

Zumbi the famous mechanic is proud to announce his latest machine, the Steam Tailer with is thread you can fix up your clothes in the comfort of your own home while only giving off minimal steam!

Another possible entry into the SteamPunk 100 Parts or Less Contest.

Professor Hert’s Whismical Bot

A crazy bot powered solely with steam and a nice black coat of shiny pain over its wood frame accompanied by the laced in silver gives this bot the aesthetically pleasing look and is also able to carry luggage, tools, you name it.

A possible entry for the SteamPunk 100 Pieces or Less Challenge. It has 25 pieces (I was trying to use the least amount of pieces I possible could and I think I did a find job at that). Anyway I say possible since I have ideas for a few more entries I might rather use instead.

The Money You Could be Saving With Geico…

I would firstly like to suggest listening to this while looking at this photo.

The torso is edited and the head is custom erased.

Is that legal? Or even possible right now with the economy right now? Of course it is all I had to do was jump on the bandwagon and suddenly my pockets filled with cash, women became my employees, and I got a nice suit and briefcase.

Is that legal. For me to actually follow through on something. Although I am a little late. I was on a nice long weekend away from technology (another first for me this summer), but alas I am back and made it through my tech-free weekend. Onto the MOCs:

Until next week…

Damn You Decal Bonder!

July 28, 2009

Damn You Decal Bonder!
Unfortunately I ended up buying decal paper, but I completely forgot (When I say forgot I mean dismissed as nonsense in an effort to save money) to buy the decal bonder that supposedly keeps the ink together with these decals. After 8 wasted decals I finally read the instructions that clearly stated that too. I’m in luck seeing as I can get some tomorrow when I make a trip up to a hobby store for some. When the decals are applied and real photographs are taken I will properly credit the makers of the fine decals I printed.

The center piece of this creation is the light up flame and it is also the most attractive part when shown in the dark.

I already have ideas for another Post-Apoc dio and thanks to this experience I can’t wait to try it.

All weapon seen are by BrickArms.

Coming soon!

Get Your Own Short Brim Fedora!

Kevin WisrthanU saw my custom hats and asked for one of his own and he agreed that he would be willing to pay for one. That got me thinking. How many of you would be willing to buy a custom individually hand-crafted short brim fedoras.

I have already seen a few BrickLink sellers and the prices I came up with are:
Brown: $3-$4
Black: $4-$5
Tan: $4-$6
Keep in mind that I calculated into the cost; price for fedora from BrickLink seller, shipping from BrickLink seller, my time, shipping item to you.

Before they go on sale though I would be putting them on Pre-order so I knew how many I would have to make for the first wave. I will order a few extra then and from then on I could keep something continuous going.

Anyway what I was really hoping was for anyone interested to just put a yes if they would buy a custom fedora for the prices I listed above. Those are the cheapest rates I can get too.

Btw I will have one available on Ebay in the next day or so. I will link this photo to ebay for anyone interested to bid on there own version of the custom Short Brim Fedora early.

And while on the subject of mass-producing a custom item of mine early what-if I made more of my SpaceBalls helmets. Or as I would refer to them: Sci-fi Helmet.
Those would run for a slightly higher price and would cost $7-$8. They are harder to buy in quantities on BrickLink and take hours of sanding.

Pirates, Arr, Pirates!

July 20, 2009

I’ll get to the creation in a second I just wanted to put an ad out and ask a few question regarding what you want to see from the blog. Feel free to either email me your answer or post it in a text comment below.
I have put loads of items on Ebay for auction including trading cards, minifigs and other things I found suitable to sell. Anyone interested should click the link and pick up a new minifig or set of cards for cheap. I’m just looking for reasons to get rid of them.

And the question for you the reader is if I were to host a mini-contest say weekly or monthly how interested would you be? I will hopefully get a poll up soon, but until then feel free to drop a comment below.

Very much inspired by KÇ»rrde’s slightly recent vignette. Just a quick tablescrap, but I guess it is better than nothing. I promise to have a few real MOCs out in the next week. The only problem I’m having is photographing them since most of them are white which makes editing hard and on black they just don’t seem to look right.

It feels like it has been so long since I have built pirates. I really like the feeling of building it again.

All weapons from BrickArms. Also a possible entry into the BrickArms contest. Y/N?

I Can Technic?

July 19, 2009

Or I’m going to try. After finding some inspiration on Flickr I’ve decided to build a LEGO-esque set for the Space Police theme and it is all being built on a Technic frame which is also very new for me. I still have to decide whether the fighter should be for the criminal or the Space Police, but once I get past that I can begin working on the body and parts that make the fighter look normal/appropriate.
